Govt. Polytechnic Loharu is one of the premier Technical Institution in Haryana. The instiution is situated at a distance of 58 Km. from Bhiwani & 20Km. from Pilani(Raj).The foundation of this instiution was made in 1998 and start functioing with effect from Augest 2001. The instiution is spread over on 31.Acre of lush green land. It is well connected by trains & Buses. The Institute has been conducting three years Diploma Programs in Conventional field such as IT, COMPUTER, ELECTRICAL ENGG. & ELECTRONICS & COMM. ENGG.

All these courses are on semester system basis and admission to the Diploma Courses is made strictly based on DET (Diploma Entrance Test) held by Deptt. of Technical Education, Haryana.

ELIGIBILITY:

Pass in Matric Examination from State Board of School Education, Haryana or equivalent from a recognized Board/University. The candidate must have passed English, Math and Science (Physics & Chemistry) as compulsory subjects.

Notification:

The notification for Diploma Courses is issued in the leading newspapers in the month of March/April every year.

 

1. DEPARTMENT : COMPUTER ENGG.& IT

The Deptt. of Computer Engineering offers Three Years Diploma Course in Computer Engg. & IT. Department has fully equipped two computer laboratories with 45 nos. high configuration computer systems, laser printers, colour printers, internet facility.New Building is being constructed in that two software lab & one hardware lab is being established.And material & equipment requieion has been made to the govt. and shortly we will get material.

2. DEPARTMENT : ELECTRONICS & COMM. ENGG.

This department offers three years diploma in Electronics and Comm. Engg. awarded by State Board of Technical Education, Haryana. This department at present has following equipped laboratories with state of the art equipments: -

1. Analog Electronics lab
2. Digital Electronics lab
3. Microprocessor

3. DEPARTMENT: ELECTRICAL ENGG.

Since branch of Electrial Engg. started in 2004 & this is first year of student of elect. engg. session 2004-2005 .At present only first semester classes are going on. So establishing Labs. for course of electrical engg. will take place in due course of time with taking over of new building.

 

4. DEPARTMENT : APPLIED SCIENCE

The staff in Applied Science Department imparts instructions in the subjects of communication skills, mathematics, physics and chemistry to the students of various disciplines for the first two semesters. The Department looks after the interests of the students completely in the first year of their studies. It takes keen interest in developing their communication skills.

5. OTHERS:

The workshop is well-equipped with modern machinery and equipment and has different sections: -

2.  Painting Shop	Normal Painting
3.  Fitting Shop	Drilling Machine, Vices

  

·  COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT CELL

The Ministry of Human Resource Development, Govt. of India, selected Govt. Polytechnic, Loharu in 2002, as Community Polytechnic. The following areas of activities are taken under this scheme are: -

1. SOCIO ECONOMIC SURVEY & PLANNING

Identify the felt needs and job potential in the rural areas.

2. MAN POWER DEVELOPMENT & TRAINING

Programme for the local people in basic skill.

3. TRANSFER OF TECHNOLOGIES

To improve quality of life in the rural areas.

4. SUPPORT SERVICES

To meet priority needs like drinking water, low cost housing etc.

5. TECHNICAL SERVICES

Through service camps.

6. DISSEMINATION OF INFORMATION

For creating awareness on various developmental schemes and ways for improving quality of life in villages.

The Community Development Cell of this Polytechnic has established no of extension centres for imparting 6/3 months training in different trades . This training is provided free of cost.

 

 

OTHER FACILITIES

The Institution has a practice of preparing a comprehensive annual program of all academic and extra curricular activities right in the beginning of the session. This includes Independence Day, Republic Day Flag Hoisting functions. Paper Reading Contest, Declamation Contest, Engineering Material/Model Exhibition and conducting of class tests, short educational tours etc.

Hostel and Residential Facilities

The institute has Hostel for Boys housing nearly 126 students, providing all modern amenities. Sufficient numbers of residences including guesthouse are also available in the campus.

Library

The library is stocked more than two thousands books.As the new building is comming up and separate block for liberary has been constructed in the same building and process for procuring more books will be taken in due course of time.

The library has a Book Bank, which provide all the students with textbooks for almost all the subjects for complete course duration.
