GOVERNMENT POLYTECHNIC AMBALA -- CIVIL ENGG.

The department offers a 3 years course leading to Diploma in Civil Engg. awarded by Haryana State Board of technical Education. The programme aims at providing the students with theoretical & practical base required for operational, maintenance & design aspects of Civil Engg. Projects. The department has the fully developed labs in the field of :-

5. Hydraulics

8. Public Health
9. Computer

The department of Civil Engg. has been modernised with latest equipped under World Bank project and can provide consultancy in the field of surveying, Soil testing, concrete/Cement/Bricks testing, Water / Waste Water Testing, Building design & constructions.
The diploma holders from this deptt. have found employment in cvarious Government, Public & Private Enterprises such as PWD (B&R), PWD (Public Health), Pollution Control Board, Electricity Boards, MES, CPWD, HUDA, Railway, Municipal Corporation, Panchayti Raj etc. In addition numerous construction companies/organisations, software MNC's also employee diploma holders from this Deptt. Some have become entrepreneurs in their own field.
