The staff of this department is meant for providing basic foundation by imparting instructions in the subjects of Applied Physics, Applied Mathematics, Applied Chemistry, and Communication Skills so that the students can be prepared to handle the engineering subjects after second semester. This department acts as a bridge for the students coming generally from Hindi medium and Rural Background. The students are continuously motivated through active support and guidance in the first year of their studies.
This department also runs the admission cell of the institute. The engineering students and parents are provided guidance and counselling by the staff so as to make the selection of carrer easy.
