During current age of Knowledge-based society, science & technology, Technical education has assumed an irrefutably significant role and in that it has been making rapid strides in keeping pace with various current industrial innovations & technological advances. Technical Education department, which is primarily responsible for producing Technical Manpower in the form of Engineers, Managers, and supervisors/ Technicians, have now a greater responsibility to cater to the need of Industry which is passing through a transition phase. With the opening of the doors to multinational companies, Indian Industry is also adopting new technologies, improved methods of production and quality control, efficient machine tools and equipment. The Technical Education Department, Haryana, is fully geared up to work untiringly in three cardinal directions such as all round modernization, Total quality management & capacity expansion. |

Undeniably, every child is most ambitious dream of parents as well as of the nation. The entire future of the parents & the nation rest on how its younger generation launches itself in life. Barring few administrative jobs & medical and other profession it is only technical education on which one can pin his hopes and aspiration. Obviously, this very education can win laurels and glory for us for the entire humanity in this neck-to-neck-cut-throat competitive & heavily industrialized world. In fact, all of a sudden, the demand for quality technical education has increased. Only a technically trained person can successfully make his debut in the present world of science & technology. The Department is taking all pains & making all out efforts to train young learners with novel techniques & method of instruction by exposing them to latest technology. The Department also takes meticulously to provide leadership qualities, scientific & organizational expertise, technical assistance & other resources & latest technical know how to fulfill the demands & needs of budding learners. Officials of the Directorate and particularly teachers of technical institutes stipulate multiple roles, which include instruction, instructional material development, curriculum development, research and innovation, testing and consultancy services etc. To perform the multiple roles, teachers need to develop competencies such as proficiency in subject matter, pedagogical knowledge and skills, managerial skills of motivating, decision-making and leadership etc. |
