Skilled labour in terms of Technicians / Diploma Holders / Engineers are the essential ingredients to establish an industrial unit. This is where the need of quality Technical education and vision to be remain ahead in the competitive world arises . The Department of Technical Education Haryana prepares the Technical managers/Scientists/Engineers/Supervisors and other professionals including skilled technicians through Post Graduate /Under Graduate and Diploma level institutions in the field of Engineering & Technology, Computer, IT, Management, Pharmacy Architecture , Hotel Management and Applied Arts & Crafts.                   A need based steep hike from only 6 polytechnics (Govt.-4 and Govt. Aided-2) and only one Engg. College at Kurukshetra (Joint Venture of State Govt. and Govt. of India). with annual intake of 1341 Approximately at the time of inception of Haryana as a separate state in 1966, to 570+ with an Annual intake of 120000 Appx. and the process of addition of more Institutes is still on, tells the success story of the state and hence acceptance of Technical education among masses.                   Department of Technical Education Haryana owing the responsibility of the holistic growth of the pupil coming in to its folds is committed to make all possible efforts to help in realizing his dreams as well as the society to which he or she hails from .
