The three years diploma course in the Electrical engg. was born to serve the needs of the public & private sectors for trained electrical engineers. Since its inception in 1964, the programme has been drawing the best of academic talent from all over India, which is nurtured by a faculty of high academic eminence. The academic skills of the students are honed by a 36-course package with main focus on subjects like Electrical & Electronics Engg. Materials, Electrical Engg. Design & Drawing, Electrical Machines, Electrical Measurement & Measuring Instruments, Electronics Devices & Circuits, Transmission & Distribution of Electrical Power, Utilization of Electrical Energy, Installation & Maintenance of Electrical Equipment, Electrical Workshop and Project Work .The department has made rapid strides since establishment and is equipped with best infrastructure facilities .The department have well furnished laboratories and workshop. The various laboratories & workshop that are functioning under this department are equipped with latest testing equipments. The various experiments as detailed in the curriculum are performed in these laboratories/workshops for the purpose of blending theoretical inputs with practical know-how. With the aim of providing sound practical knowledge the department requires renovation & modernization of its laboratories and workshops with the help of AICTE under MODROBS and submitted a project report for special grant in the month of Sep-2005. The department is also providing technical assistance to the community development program since 1995.

The students of this department have achieved top ranks many times in the State Examinations conducted by department of Technical education, Haryana . The alumni of this department have maintained this tradition and are working at high positions in public and private sector. Technical excellence coupled with sound work ethics has been the motto and guiding principle of this department.
