This department through its trained diploma engineers contributed in a big way by making a sound & technical establishment network under public and private sectors which produced a good quality of world class highways, well connected railways, public health works, drainage, efficient irrigation facilities, military engineering services and provides a good accommodation for discipline of all kind of engineerings etc. It is an old saying that “Civil Engineers are the builders of modern World”. This department characterized this quotation in true sense.

The department is fully reformative and continuously reshaping its laboratory features, faculty and other requirements as per the demand of time and region. The department also takes care of the level of training required for placement of its student not only with in the country but also across its borders and meet out the new challenges faced by our human resources to exploit the opportunities available over there.

The department updated itself regularly during the implementation of World Bank assisted project of modernization. We made the department to accept the world class challenging in the training of diploma level courses and updated all of its laboratories by fully equipping them to meet out the requirement of latest curricular and quality of faculty was also enhanced and presently most of the faculty are post graduate.

It is also worth mentioning here that the department got a special grant from the AICTE under MODROBS to tune of Rs. 13.0 lacs.
