HISTORY OF THE SOCIETY
It was in the beginning of 20th century when the social values in India were changing and the importance of education was felt by the dignitaries of the Northern India that a group of people assembled and established a primary school to impart and preach the primary education at Rohtak. Today this small step taken by those people has grown up into a big society which runs the following institutions:-
The day to day work and decisions are carried out by the Governing Body of the society which is headed by the President, Jat Education Society, Rohtak. Personalities like Dr. Ramdhan Singh, Agricultural Scientist, Ch. Udey Singh Mann, Ex-MLC have chaired this honourable post and have guided these institutes which are bearing fruit of many kinds presently.Ch. Udey Singh Mann, Ex-MLC is the founder president of the then executive body of this esteemed institute.
HISTORY OF THE INSTITUTION
In a bid to achieve self sufficiency in emerging technical field in the post intendance era of India, the importance of technical education was very much felt and in order to fill the existing gap between the required and available technical course in the country Jat Education Society took the initiative of starting a polytechnic in 1956 and named it after the name of Deen Bandhu Sir Chhotu Ram who did a remarkable work for the upliftment of poor, uneducated and rural nationalites of this region.
This leading technical institute of Northern India started a two-year course in Draftsman (Civil) at the time of its inception i.e. 1956. Later on three-year diploma courses in Civil, Electrical & Mechanical Engineering, Electronics & Comm., Computer, Plastic Technology and Information Technology were introduced from time to time. The Haryana Govt. has been very kind and liberal in granting aids to this institute and this institute in turn works day and night for the over all development of its students. The complete, heartily and sincere involvement of management and staff members is depicted through the results achieved by our students in various fields.
LOCATION
The institute is located on Eastern side of Rohtak an Educational City of Haryana. This historical town also houses various and number of educational institute imparting education in various disciplines of life. To name a few are Maharashi Dayanand University, Medical College & Hospital, a chain of institutes run by Baba Mastnath Turst, Vaish Education Society, Gour Brahaman Education Society etc.

Er. Baljit Singh Hooda, M.Tech. (Power Systems) from National Institute of Technology, Kurukshetra is heading the institute.

All these courses are on semester system. The eligibility for admission to these courses are as per notification issued by State Board of Technical Education, Haryana from time to time. The candidate must have passed English, Math, Science (Physics & Chemistry) as compulsory subjects.
All the courses are recognized by All India Council for Technical Education and affiliated to State Board of Technical Education Haryana.
